Friday, June 2 – 6:30 p.m.
1 mile swim starts with an in-water start at GPS boat dock, goes upstream for 400 yards and finishes downstream with an in-water finish under the Market Street bridge. Course maps can be found here. Heat 1 (Males) will go first, followed by Heat 2 (Females). Wet suits are not eligible for awards.
Time limit: 1.5 hours

Saturday, June 3 – 8:30 a.m. start
2017 USMS Middle OW Nationals
2.4 mile downstream swim with an in-water start adjacent to the Chattanooga Golf & Country Club and an in-water finish under the Market Street bridge. Course maps can be found here. Heat 1 (Championship) will go first, followed by Heat 2 (Non-championship and wet suits). You must be an annual USMS Member to compete in the Championship heat. Wet suits are not eligible for awards.
Time limit: 3 hours

Sunday, June 4 – 8:30 a.m. start
2017 USMS Ultramarathon OW Nationals
9.2 mile downstream swim with an in-water start from GPS boat dock to an in-water finish at Baylor School. Course maps can be found here. Heat 1 (Championship) will go first, followed by Heat 2 (Non-championship and wet suits). You must be an annual USMS Member to compete in the Championship heat. Wet suits are not eligible for awards.
Time limit: Competitors must be at halfway point by 11:30 a.m. in order to continue.

Each swimmer in the 9.2 mile must have their own pilot and kayak/canoe. If you need a boat, click here for some outfitters we recommend.

Each participant receives an event T-shirt. Additional shirts can be purchased for $15 during the registration process.

Awards:  For the championship heats, the top 6 finishers in each age group and gender will receive a medal. For the non-championship heats, the top 3 finishers in each age group and gender will receive a medal. In addition, the top 3 overall finishers in each race will receive an award in both the championship and non-championship heats.

For those competing in all three races (championship or non-championship), awards will be given for the five fastest combined times for male and female.

Age groups are 18-24, 25-29, and so on in 5 year increments.
