1 Mile Swim
Friday, June 2 at 6:30 p.m.

3:00 p.m. – 5:20 p.m.
Swimmer check-In (packet pick up, athlete marking) at Outdoor Chattanooga.

3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Pilot check-in at Outdoor Chattanooga.

5:15 p.m.
Pre-Race Safety Briefing for Officials and Pilots at Outdoor Chattanooga – mandatory for officials, timers, boat support (motorized and non-motorized), and safety personnel.

5:30 p.m.
Pre-Race Safety Briefing for Swimmers at Outdoor Chattanooga.

5:45 p.m.
Swimmers board buses at Outdoor Chattanooga to be taken to start of race. Swimmers can also walk to the GPS dock after checking in and getting body marked.

5:50 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. 
Swimmer Warm-up/Roll Call - warm up area will be available along the North Shore from the GPS dock and going upstream about 400 yards and back. Any swimmers entering warm up area will be checked off the master roster and will not be able to exit.

5:50 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.
Bag drop off at top of GPS boat dock ramp. Bags will be taken to finish area under Market Street bridge.

6:00 p.m.
Kayakers put in river under the Market St. bridge and start paddling up to the GPS boat dock. If you have your own kayak, take it to the GPS dock. 

6:20 p.m.
Final roll call at GPS dock. All swimmers must be at dock before race can start.

6:30 p.m.
RACE START at GPS dock - In water start. Swimmers will have 1.5 hours to complete the swim.

6:50 p.m.
First finishers expected at finish line. A warm down lane will be available for athletes after the race from the finish to the Blue Rhino Kayak steps on the North Shore. 

7:45 p.m. or 15 minutes after the last finisher
Awards ceremony at Outdoor Chattanooga.
