Kayakers drop off kayaks under Market Street bridge at Coolidge Park (for those bringing their own kayak). If you are borrowing an event kayak it will already be there for you. The event kayaks from Outdoor Chattanooga will be in a grassy area right in front of the kayak shed and you will have to check in with OC staff.
6:30 – 7:00 a.m.
Swimmers and kayakers arrive at Baylor School (swim finish) to park

Swimmers and kayakers de-board buses under the Market Street bridge. At this point, swimmers and kayakers must find each other, find their kayak, and make sure that swimmer's feeds are given to the pilot and placed in the kayak or SUP. Swimmers can see what color their kayak is (for those borrowing an event kayak).

Swimmers - packets and body marking and names are checked off a list for being present

Pilots enter the water (takes about 20 minutes for all pilots and kayaks to put in)
Swimmers board buses for a ride up to GPS dock (SWIM START)

8:00 – 8:15 a.m.
Optional Swimmer Warm Up - warm up area will be available along the North Shore from the GPS boat dock and going upstream about 400 yards and back. Any swimmers entering warm up area will be checked off the master roster and will not be able to exit.
Swimmers called to get positioned for start/final roll call at GPS dock. Clothes should be placed in plastic bags and put on the microbus where they will be taken to Baylor School.

Swimmers swim to their assigned buoy and find their pilot at that buoy. Swimmers are not allowed to swim past Market Street Bridge without a pilot. Swimmers swimming past Market Street Bridge without a pilot will be stopped by a lifeguard in the water.
All swimmers must be at the halfway point or they will need to exit the water. First finishers expected around 11:30 to noon.
Lunch available for swimmers and pilots at Baylor.
Majority of athletes will have finished swim.
3:00 p.m. (approximate)
Awards ceremony at Baylor School will be held after the majority of the swimmers have finished.
